Troy Classic Crit. Troy Ohio 7/19/08

With a lack of Michigan racing in July (the Dexter Crit, Fenton Road Race & Common Crit were cancelled) the W.S.C. Bicycle Racing Team has been racing out of state the last few weeks, here is a little run down of results:

Troy Classic Crit. Troy Ohio 7/19/08

Cruise Bogedin and Ray Dybowski drove down to Ohio to race this 50 mile race on a 10 turn, 1 mile course that was super fast. 60 riders were at the start of the P1/2 race. The pace was drive by the Texas Road House Pro Team battling with Team Nitro. (The old Abercrombe and Finch(sp) Pro team.) Ray took off in a break with 27 miles to go but was caught with 7 miles to go. Cruise sprinted in for 16th place and in the money. Ray finished 28th.

The Pancake Stage Race: Woodburn, In. 7/26/08 -7/27/08

Cat 1/2/3 - Ray Dybowski Cat 3/4 - Scott Kroske, Doug Hedges, Brent DelRosario

Pancakes for breakfast and 3 pancake flat courses (Road Race, Time Trial & Crit). Although, pancake flat doesn't mean pancake easy, in Woodburn, In. just east of Ft. Wayne, the farmlands bring a nemeses that can be as brutal as a 6% 1 k climb........Wind, a constant wind! This wind makes you ride 30 to 35 mph with the wind, then leg burning crosswinds when you miss the battle for the front of the echelon, only to turn into the constant force of not being able to make the bike roll when your face to face with the beast.

Results:
1/2/3 Ray Dybowski: 75 Mile Road Race - 1st, 13 Mile TT - 8th, 60 Minute Crit - 15th, Overall 6th

3/4 Scott Kroske: 60 Mile Road Race - 2nd, 13 Mile TT -2nd, 45 minute Crit - 3rd, Overall 1st
Brent DelRosario: 60 Mile Road Race - 3nd, 13 Mile TT -11th, 45 minute Crit - 8th, Overall 5th
Doug Hedges: 60 Mile Road Race - 15th, 13 Mile TT -9th, 45 minute Crit - 13th, Overall 11th

The WSC Cat 3 team also won the prize for finished 1st in the Best Team Category!

What a great weekend couple weekends! (Superweek and California State Championship result to come)
